This spot was once owned by avid antiques collector Mademoiselle Henriette Reboul, who bought this 18th-century townhouse in 1903 – and her spirit remains very much in evidence. Now a boutique hotel, the building has been faithfully restored by the finest French artisans to recall its heyday – when everyone from Cézanne and Picasso to Prince Grimaldi came to visit. Each of the luxurious suites recalls a different aspect of Henriette’s life. There’s also a stone-vaulted underground spa area with a small pool and hammam.

The building itself is a dreamy 18th-century villa, notable for its elegant architecture, Second Empire scalloped roof and traditional townhouse interior. Outside, you’ll find an outdoor swimming pool that spans the length of the building. There’s also a fine-dining restaurant specialising in Mediterranean cuisine.
