Looking for a complete holiday package to Greece? You’re not alone. The hardest part is dodging all the dodgy, to-good-to-be-true deals. Well, Culture Trip is here to help.

Booking a vacation package can be the best way to experience a destination. Forget hours shopping around, booking activities and public transport, as well as accommodation. There’s no need to feel like your group’s volunteer tour guide as you haphazardly navigate a place you’ve never been and an itinerary you’re unsure about.

At Culture Trip we’ve carefully curated a catalogue of authentic small-group adventures that take the stress of organisation firmly out of your hands. Unlike most package holidays, our tours are designed to immerse you in a destination, showing you the real communities of a place. We show you the natural beauty spots other tour providers don’t even know about, and our Local Insiders are not only armed with a lifetime of cultural insights, but also top tips on the best food joints, sunset viewing points and morning coffee spots.

Whether you’re after a Greek island package deal or an Athens discovery tour, Greece is a great example of a destination where booking everything with one provider enhances your travel experience. So many visitors restrict themselves to just exploring one island, or might not even leave the capital. Many others barely even leave their resorts or town, leaving much of the island they do choose unexplored.

Booking with a good tour provider allows you hop from mainland to island, and from island to island, giving you a more complete Greece experience. Not to mention the fact that a good tour guide will help you discover the very best of Greek cuisine and bring you culturally closer to your destination. Perhaps most importantly, Greece is meant to be a totally laid-back, relaxing holiday destination, so having someone else take care of the logistics lets you lean into the Mediterranean island spirit.

Greek Island Odyssey

We might be biased, but we think this eight-day island-hopping adventure is the perfect Greek island package holiday. From Athens to Santorini, with a few lesser-known gems in between, we’ll show you the glorious beauty of Greece in its many different forms.

Whether you’re here for the history, the natural beauty, the food or simply the sunshine, this itinerary caters for all tastes. We start in the capital, where we’ll blend the old – a visit to the iconic Acropolis, a must visit on any trip to Greece – with the new, a rarely spoken about highlight of Athens. This is actually a thriving contemporary city, covered in great street art and littered with forward-thinking enterprises. We’ll explore the lively Keramikos neighbourhood to give you a taste of modern Athens.

Don’t go to crazy on the ouzo in Athens, because on day three we hop on a ferry to our first island, Milos. Right in the southwest of the Cyclades, this is one of the region’s most under-appreciated destinations, boasting some of the prettiest beaches in all of Greece, as well as some stunning volcanic rock formations. You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy those beaches, but you’ll also be taken on a boat cruise around the island, stopping off to swim in the crystal clear waters, explore caves, old pirate hideouts and Gerakas beach.

Our next island is Naxos, the largest in the Cyclades, renowned for long stretches of sand and rich ancient history. You’ll have time to chill on the beach, explore the Archeological Museum of Naxos and discover quaint little cafes and tavernas across the main town. We’ll also take you inland, where fertile grounds are covered in olive groves, oak trees and vineyards, and you’ll get to know a rural village, stopping by a family home for a cooking masterclass. Expect to master authentic Greek dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Delicious.

Our final stop is the famous island of Santorini. The glamour of those pristine whitewashed walls and vibrant blue-domed churches are perfect for sitting back and reflecting on what makes Greece so unique. You’ll get to explore the island at your own pace, just make sure you’re back in time to watch sunset with the group – Santorini sunsets are among the best on the planet – before tucking into a farewell dinner with your fellow Culture Trippers.

Flights are not included in the price – although our friendly customer service team can help you find the best deals – but your booking does include three nights of premium hotel accommodation, four nights of boutique hotel accommodation, daily breakfasts, a lunch and three dinners, as well as all mentioned activities and local private transport. Not to mention our Local Insider, who will constantly be on hand to ensure you have the perfect Greek retreat.
