The 2018 World Cup is probably one of the best reasons to visit Southern Russia, and especially the city of Sochi. With a variety of different spots in the downtown area, Sochi’s Fisht Olympic Stadium is just steps away from popular cafés, restaurants and bars. If you’re looking for a bite to eat before or after a match, here are a few places that will have you cheering during your World Cup 2018 visit.

1. Baikal Bar

Restaurant, European

Located right in front of the stadium, this restaurant and bar has a lot to offer. Choose from a vast list of typical Russian and European dishes, including desserts, fresh fruit and an international wine cart. Baikal Bar is very family-friendly and we highly recommend booking a table in advance; it is extremely popular among locals.

2. Boho

Restaurant, Oceanian, Italian, Russian

This restaurant and bar offers great ocean views and an extensive main course list. Open seven days a week, this unique family-friendly spot is part café, part bar and part restaurant. Here you can treat yourself to authentic Sochi cuisine, as well as Italian pasta or an Argentinian steak, or you can start your experience with a Brazilian cachaça cocktail. Be sure to book your table in advance during the World Cup.

3. La Punto

Gastropub, Restaurant, European, Seafood, Wine, Contemporary

This contemporary gastropub is all about seafood and wine, and if you love those two things, it is the right place for you to visit after an event at the stadium. The menu guarantees a fine-dining experience, so choose anything you’d like, from classics to Mediterranean-inspired dishes like escargot and mussels. Delicious!

5. Parus Cafe

Cafe, Russian

This elegant café is located on the edge of Olympic Park and it provides its visitors a great opportunity to watch a sunset over the Black Sea from its romantic terrace. Parus Cafe’s signature dish is the grilled fish with vegetables paired with one of their many cocktails or lemonades infused with fresh fruits.
