The Golden Dawn

Located on the inner edge of this fashion and culture hub is a hipster bar and restaurant called The Golden Dawn. The venue holds occasional events, where you can come down and listen to some of Auckland’s best musical artists while dining on Matterhorn’s signature favorites. Longroom is a bar and bistro with versatile functions. Whether you’re looking for a place to go with family or friends for dinner, or a relaxed after work drink, this is the place. The gorgeous courtyard is a large open air space where you can soak in the summer sun. Trends and fashion change over time, and the establishments in Ponsonby reflect that. However, Snatch tries to bring back the style of a past era. Snatch opened in 2007 to offer a vintage 1950s look and feel to Ponsonby, with walls adorned with art from the era. Bangkok’s incredible food stalls and night markets are the inspiration for MooChowChow, a bar and restaurant in Ponsonby that offers the culinary stylings of Chef Che Barrington. He has spent his career developing the stunning flavor combinations exhibited here at MooChowChow. Jervois Steak House

The sombre wooden interior gives Jervois Steak House a rustic atmosphere that complements the uncomplicated and traditional cuisine.
