Located steps from Main Street, this boutique hotel in Cody has been welcoming visitors with a casual Western elegance since 1901. After exploring the surrounding wilderness, rest your weary bones in your clawfoot tub or in front of your private fireplace. Literary fans can even choose the Hemingway Suite, the very room where Ernest Hemingway stayed in 1932 after completing the manuscript for A Death in the Afternoon. Chamberlin’s on-site Spirits Lounge brings live music and creative cocktails to audiences of both locals and visitors – try the To Have and To Hold, a bold combination of bourbon and passionfruit infused with locally grown Thai peppers.

2. Holiday Inn Cody at Buffalo Bill Village, an IHG Hotel – for good value in Buffalo Bill Village

Hotel

The Holiday Inn at Buffalo Bill Village is the perfect place to recharge after exploring neighboring Yellowstone National Park. Clean, modern rooms offer the expected amenities, and two pools – one indoor and one outdoor – mean the kids can splash out any extra energy. 5. Comfort Inn at Buffalo Bill Village Resort – for a home-from-home near Main Street

Cabin

There’s nowhere more welcoming than grandma’s house – and the Comfort Inn at Buffalo Bill Village Resort is as close as you’ll get to that level of coziness without having to share a bed with your sister. A stay in their famously comfortable rooms means you’re walking distance to the restaurants and attractions of downtown Cody, plus guests have free access to the Buffalo Bill Resort pool. A free, highly rated hot breakfast is included – but across the street is Granny’s Restaurant, a local favorite offering homestyle classics including their made-to-share enormous cinnamon buns.
