Since then, its first store has grown to a chain of eight restaurants across Austin. You can wash down the extensive spread of pancakes with $2 mimosas. For $12, you can get an entire carafe. If you’re looking for options besides orange juice, switch it out for cranberry or grapefruit.
Suerte reinvents traditional Mexican cuisine for the 21st century. It tweaks familiar Mexican dishes by topping tostadas with beets or smashed avocados, and reinvents Austin brunch staples, including the mimosa. During winter, Suerte runs its special take on the classic. Its Winter Punch, which consists of citrus, cava, white rum and spices, is a must-try and a seasonal standout. Just make sure to grab one at Lucky Hour when they’re $4 off.
Mongers Market + Kitchen
Mongers is where Southern style meets the East Coast. The freshly shucked oysters are a favorite – enjoy them with a side of deep-fried brussels sprouts. Brunch, however, may be where this restaurant really shines. Since Austin is warm for most of the year, Mongers’ patio is the place place to enjoy a mimosa at $3 a glass or a $15 carafe alongside fresh-caught oysters.
The Buzz Mill
The Buzz Mill is probably one of the only places in Austin serving both barbecue and vegan tacos together on the brunch menu. Stop by for $2 mimosas and check out the Frontier Brunch menu, which includes favorites like range grits as well as biscuits and gravy.
Boasting a historical building and a noteworthy chef – the two-time James Beard Rising Star Award finalist Grae Nonas helms the kitchen – the Carpenters Hall offers a brunch menu and mimosas. Pair a refreshing $10 cocktail with German- or Mexican-inspired brunch staples.
Swift’s Attic is an innovative brunch dive offering modern farm-to-table cuisine. Its eclectic menu includes Korean, Southern and fusion dishes, as well as local beers. While the entrées are a bit pricey, the $5 mimosas balance out the bill, or at least make you not mind as much.
