This is a hip luxury boutique hotel owned by husband-and-wife team Chad and Courtney Ludeman. Their vision was to create a hotel that stayed authentic to Philadelphia but also felt like home. This explains details such as wood floors, walk-in showers, clawfoot tubs and floor-to-ceiling windows in the six apartments. The apartments also have open living rooms with sleek furniture and kitchens with bold, painted furniture and up-to-the-minute appliances. Just down the street are the historic Betsy Ross House, Franklin Square and the African American Museum in Philadelphia.
Cambria hotels are known for their well-designed properties, delivering plenty of amenities, and the Cambria Hotel Philadelphia Downtown Center City ticks all boxes. Upscale rooms have premium bedding, a dedicated work area and Bluetooth mirrors in the bathrooms. There’s also a rooftop lounge with spectacular city views. You can’t beat the location – this property is 10 minutes from Independence Hall and close to Rittenhouse and Logan Squares. Both locations are unbeatable destinations for shopping, museums and dining.
A mix of hotel rooms and apartments, NICHE is ideal for both long- and short-term stays. It’s housed in a restored 19th-century building, and guest rooms have platform beds, upgraded Tuft and Needle mattresses and an all-around good-looking, pared-back design. The studio apartments have a fully stocked kitchenette and access to a washer and dryer. Some of the perks include a shared lounge and garden space and a convenient location just one block away from the MFL (Market-Frankford Line) Subway stop. Long-term renters get access to complimentary car service, housekeeping and grocery delivery – what better reason to hang around for a while?
The Logan Philadelphia is part of the Hilton family of hotels, and Curio-brand properties constitute its hip and trendy label. Design details include wood-paneled walls, big art dwarfing the beds, and unserious, oversized chairs. The generous bathrooms have marble counters and walk-in showers. Other big pluses for us include a spa, an indoor pool and a posh rooftop bar with fire pits. Nearby are Independence Hall, the Cathedral Basilica of St Peter and the Kimmel Center, a terrific performing-arts center.
Recently opened, this Hilton offering majors in comfort and style. All 236 rooms are thoughtfully designed with blue walls, gold hardware and floor-to-ceiling sculptural headboards. Other appreciated details include gel memory foam mattresses, workspaces and barn doors that lead to spa-like bathrooms. We love the in-room Nespresso machines and comfy bathrobes and highly recommend the premium rooms that come with stunning city views. Staying here, you’re within walking distance of Philadelphia’s Old City. Alternatively, we recommend borrowing one of the complimentary bikes to explore.
Fitler Club opened its doors as recently as 2019: a 14-room luxury boutique hotel with tons to offer. There are four places to eat and drink, and there’s a 25,000sqft (2,323sqm) fitness center with Peloton bikes, a climbing wall as well as group pilates and yoga classes. The hotel also has a 75ft (23m) indoor pool, a spa, a sauna and steam rooms. With custom-designed furniture and stylish bathrooms with walk-in rain showers and marble countertops, the guest rooms pull out all the stops.
