Award-winning chefs are in charge at Lafayette, so it’s no surprise that this place offers up some of the neighborhood’s best brunch (with a French twist). Go for the soft scrambled eggs, the smoked salmon benedict on brioche, or the Niçoise salad, or if you have a sweet tooth, opt for the lemon pancakes with fresh berries. Pair your meal with an obligatory cocktail, from a classic bloody Mary to a rum ginger punch, or try something less traditional than your average mimosa and go for their ‘Le Métro’, a mix of Herradura Reposado tequila, Maestro Dobel tequila, Suze bitters, honey, orange, and lime.

2. DBGB Kitchen and Bar

Bar, Brasserie, French

Known as the place where French brasserie and American tavern meet, DBGB Kitchen and Bar has a private room that can host up to 18 people with an incredible view of the kitchen. They also have a seasonal sidewalk café, perfect for spending a sunny day in New York City while enjoying some delicious cuisine. For weekend brunch, they offer a menu that features eggs Florentine, Brussels sprouts, brioche French toast, and many more options. And for a few extra dollars, the client will receive unlimited beverages, and as DBGB would say, when the food stops coming, the booze stops flowing.

3. Saxon + Parole

Rustic and equestrian-themed Saxon + Parole is a favorite amongst local carnivores, but their brunch menu offers something for everyone. 4. B Bar and Grill

Bar, Diner, American

With both indoor and outdoor seating available, Bowery Bar and Grill is the perfect place for weekend brunch at any time of year. Their menu is versatile with a wide selection of eggs and sides, from sausage to bacon and fries. Other classic plates include cinnamon French toast, buttermilk pancakes, steak and eggs, and the smoked salmon plate. On Sundays, customers can indulge in their freshly baked banana bread; the best possible reason to pay B Bar and Grill a visit.

5. The Wren

Bar, Irish, Pub Grub

The Wren offers some of the neighborhood’s heartiest and most unique brunch options for anyone who’s exhausted pancakes and eggs. Menu items include faro grains and roasted cauliflower, ‘bubble & squeak’ (a traditional English dish made with the leftover vegetables from a Sunday roast dinner), a mushroom duxelles soft scramble, and a full Irish breakfast, complete with fried eggs, black pudding, baked beans, bacon, roasted mushrooms and tomato, and soda bread. Featured drinks include vodka and tequila-based concoctions, just in case you’re tired of mimosas and bellinis.
