There is no shortage of dough-soft sand in Atlantic City – all fronted by clean, safe swimming waters and backed by the city’s famous wooden boardwalk. A variety of hotels look out over the shore – there are inns, giga-resorts, apart-hotels, spa hotels and budget-friendly places. Here are a few of the best around Atlantic City, New Jersey – bookable on Culture Trip.

Some of the rooms even come with antique four-poster beds and claw-footed freestanding baths. The heart of the hotel is the pub, though – known as “One of the last remaining billiards halls in Atlantic City”, it’s home to four billiards tables and a bowling lane-long bar.
