Charlestown, the oldest neighborhood in Boston, Massachusetts, is a living museum. Here you’ll find the USS Constitution, the earliest-commissioned Navy ship still afloat; the Warren Tavern, the oldest tavern in the state; and the Bunker Hill Monument, a memorial to mark the first major skirmish in the American Revolution. It’s served by a collection of superb hotels, the best of which are found below.

That runs into the suites, which ramp up the romance with sink-into-me beds, private bathrooms and a fireplace. There’s no restaurant on site, but you can grab a snack from the communal kitchenette as you head out to walk the Freedom Trail, go to a baseball game at Fenway Park or explore the hip neighborhood.
