Places In Los Angeles Every Harry Potter Fan Should Visit

For those still awaiting acceptance letters to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, rest assured. Despite the delay of the magical owl over the past few years (or decades), fans of the books and film series can still experience the magic life of the wizarding world outside of England and Scotland. Los Angeles is the unforeseen mecca for Harry Potter, and these are the four places every fan should visit in Hollywood’s capital.

1. Universal Studios Hollywood™

Universal Studios Hollywood™ is an iconic amusement park and movie studio in its own right, but it took things to the next level in 2016 with the opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter™. The Harry Potter-themed section of the park isn’t just a ride and a couple of gift shops—it’s a fully immersive experience that puts fans in Hogsmeade. Many fans wear full Hogwarts robes to the park, in spite of the blistering heat.

2. Warner Brothers Studio Tour

The Warner Brothers Studio Tour is one of the most popular studio tours in L.A. On it, fans will see backlots and sets from famous movies and television shows, such as Casablanca and Friends. For Harry Potter fans, however, the real attraction is the mini-Potter museum, full of props and costumes used in the actual films.

3. Exit Game

Exit Game features several escape rooms full of technology, tasking players to dodge lasers and solve complicated puzzles to secure their escape. Harry Potter fans will be particularly interested in the School of Sorcery escape room, which is not officially Harry Potter-themed, but it might as well be.

4. TCL Chinese Theatre (Originally Grauman’s Chinese Theatre)

The TCL Chinese Theatre is a historic site in Hollywood. The famous theater frequently plays host to movie premieres and industry events. For tourists, it’s the place to go to see the famous Hollywood handprints—including those of Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint.
