The gateway to northern Arizona packs a lot of punch when it comes to Old West charm. Visitors gravitate to the downtown core, where there’s a historic courthouse and a public square that showcases numerous festive events throughout the year. Then there are the popular eateries and live music venues on Whiskey Row, while shoppers find their stride on Antiques Row. Outdoor enthusiasts can head to the Prescott National Forest, just beyond the city limits, or else Watson Lake with its hundreds of bird species and walking trails. It’s also possible to do a day trip to Grand Canyon National Park, a two-hour drive away. But first you need a base. Here’s our pick of the best hotels in Prescott, bookable via Culture Trip.
