Sandy beaches, great surfing and world-class seafood restaurants are not the only reason to visit Mazatlán on the west coast of Mexico in the state of Sinaloa – there’s a pretty, historic center and some indulgent hotel spas too. Here are the best hotels in the Pearl of the Pacific.

Located on Mexico’s Gold Coast, Mazatlán has become a resort force to be reckoned with in recent years. With a colorful 16th-century colonial history that is evident in the picturesque Old Town, Mazatlán is also a haven for sun-seekers who want to laze around on its gorgeous sandy beaches and surfers who come for the waves at Playa Olas Altas. These hotels are ideal places to stay, whatever your reason for visiting.
