Puebla and Cholula, its sister city, will keep you out and dancing every night of the week if that’s what you’re after. Here are some of our favorite spots for hitting the town, letting loose and dancing away the work week.

Mantra Nightclub

Nightclub, Mexican

With a massive dance floor that includes raised stages for one or two-person personal dance parties, La Santa is one of Puebla’s favorite clubs since it opened in March of 2016. They bring live DJs and musicians of all kinds of dance genres to entertain the crowds and give the place extra ambiance with laser shows and fog machines. The crowd is diverse and everyone is there to dance.

Abolengo Dance club

Considered one of Cholula’s best nightclubs, Abolengo has made a name for itself with its unprententious staff and lively scene. The owners of this spot, Grupo Antromex, also own La Santa nightclub in Puebla. There’s live DJs and dance music all night, always with a packed house, you can call ahead to reserve a table.

Loretta Nightclub

With everything from nineties classics to today’s dance and techno hits, Loretta is a true disco where you can dance all night and forget your troubles. They particularly cater to the ladies and have oversized TVs, two levels of dance floor, and special nights and offers. Check on their facebook page for electronica festivals, bachelorette nights, and 90s dance parties.

Garato's

Nightclub, Mexican

Puebla’s wild and fun gay club, Garato’s puts on drag shows, has live DJs, and welcomes patrons of all genders and persuasions. Do expect half-naked men pole dancing, blacklighting and lots of techno and electronica, if that’s not your thing, you’re better off somewhere else on this list.

Sibari

Another awesome gay bar, Sibari is known for its great service and friendly ambiance no matter who you are. This club has become an icon in the Puebla gay community and hosts drag shows, live bands, DJs and other speical festivals and events throughout the year.

Red Bay Bar

Nightclub, Mexican

A bar that will start off your night right, they open a little earlier (7pm ) and close in enough time for you to hit up one of the night-late spots on this list. They have special 3 X 2 liter drinks on Thursdays and a dance party the rest of the weekend. They also have signature cocktails and a space that’s a little more mellow then some of the other nightclubs on this list.

MamboCafe

Nightclub, Mexican

In a twist from the other clubs on this list, Mambocafe is dedicated to Latin American sounds and a Carribean vibe. They have live bands and DJs, tables and chairs if you want to sit back enjoy the music or a dance floor to strut your stuff. The Mambocafe is a chain of clubs that are all over Mexico, so try a few other of their locations if you like this one!
