On this unique tasty tour you will learn how tequila is produced—from the agave plants to the bottle. You’ll be picked up from Guadalajara and guided to the fields where agave grows. You’ll then head to La Rojeña, the distillery for Jose Cuervo, located in the town of Tequila. Your informative guide will take you on a tour of the distillery as you taste several delicious and authentic tequilas. You’ll then stop for some lunch and shopping in town, to help wash down the Tequila. This tour encompasses all you need to know about the making of the iconic tequila, it includes distillery tours and tequila tastings, an informative local guide, transportation in an air-conditioned minivan, and pickup and drop-off at select hotels.

We begin our tour walking through Guadalajara Historical Center, visiting the Cathedral, Degollado’s theater and finishing with the Hospicio Cabañas, from where we start our trip to Tlaquepaque village, known for their handcrafts, galleries, workshops and “El Parian” during our stay in downtown Tlaquepaque. We pick you up at your hotel early, transfer to the train station, and board the modern train of Herradura. Your all-day shared tour begins with a train ride to Amatitan town. We start visiting the distillery and learn about the production process of making tequila, we have a tequila tasting, and a traditional lunch is served in a old factory of the hacienda.
