Murals and architectural styles are some of Guadalajara’s cultural exports, but the best well known is perhaps tequila. These guided tours give an overview of the unique offerings of Mexico’s “Pearl of the West.”

Guadalajara, Mexico’s second largest city, is a tech hub looking ahead while deeply indebted to its past. Tequila and mariachi are as important to the city’s character as the software and computer equipment produced there. And as home to the world’s largest Spanish-language book fair and an international film festival, its cosmopolitan reach is wide. Culture Trip has assembled a list of tours centered on tequila, though offering up a diverse overview of Guadalajara’s culture.

Hi! Welcome to the only professional tequila experience. My name is Giancarlo, and I’ve been studying the tequila process for the last five years and making tequila tours for more than four years. One day I quit my job at the lab to become a conscious tequila and mezcal blogger, and I founded The Agave Experience to promote the crafted drinks and food of my country to the world. My tour is unique: I’m not just a tour guide, I’m a BIOLOGIST who has been learning and experiencing the process for the last four years.I am currently studying to become a MAESTRO TEQUILERO at UAG.
