There’s no shortage of shopping opportunities in Mexico City, given that it’s one of the largest capitals in the world. So, naturally, you can expect to find fantastic menswear options, particularly in quirkier, up-and-coming neighborhoods such as Colonia Roma. With that in mind, here are the seven best menswear stores in the city.

1. Goodbye Folk

Shop, Store

Leather shoes, similar to those you can find at Goodbye Folk
One of Roma’s best boutiques full stop, Goodbye Folk offers an impressive selection of hand-crafted and tailored menswear. You’ll never need to worry about looking like an identikit fashion fan if you shop here, as each piece is unique and made in Mexico. We recommend stopping by for the array of leather shoes; ranging from saddle shoes to loafers, you’re sure to find a pair that suit your style.

2. Shop

A regularly recommended Roma boutique, 180˚ Shop is also a stalwart of men’s street fashion in Mexico City. The vibe you get from the uber cool interior – bikes hanging from the ceiling and skateboards lining the walls – is reflected in the fashion you can pick up here. Expect less-preppy items and more casual and cool t-shirts and trainers, as well as locally made artisan jewelry.

Technically not yet a menswear store per se, Hecho is a new, on-the-rise menswear label based and made in Mexico City. Having recently been the subject of a glowing Vogue feature, their website – chock full of minimalist designs inspired by Mexican architect Luis Barragán, among others – is well worth checking out. In 2017, the brand is branching into ready-to-wear, so keep an eye out.

3. Apartment 25

Apartment 25

If you’re shy and retiring in your fashion choices, Apartment 25 may not be for you, as every item in this quaint boutique is what you’d call a statement piece. However, you can also find a wide selection of goods that are not easy to come by in Mexico City, including international brands such as Lazy Oaf, Brooklyn We Go Hard, and Richer Poorer, so it might be worth checking out if you’re on the hunt for something more obscure.

4. Headquarter

Owned by Ricardo Campa, of Kamikaze Store fame, Headquarter is another street-wear boutique that sells some of the same brands as Kamikaze, such as Stussy. However, you should check out Headquarter if you’re on the hunt for harder-to-find footwear, grooming products, or fragrances; with brands such as Unmarked, Baxter of California, and Play by Comme des Garçons, you’re likely to find something to suit your tastes.
