Guests can bring one dog per room free of charge, as long as they are a maximum of 18 kilograms (40 pounds). Your pet is made comfortable with the Heavenly Dog Bed®, as well as food and water dishes in the room. The Concierge team is available to make dog-walking or sitting arrangements or to suggest dog-friendly activities. Fortunately, the hotel is within walking distance to Stanley Park so that guests don’t have to go far for a scenic walk.

There is a maximum of two pets per room, which can be dogs, cats, or even birds! Fortunately, there’s no size restriction and a small charge of $14 per night. Each pet receives a gift bag that holds treats, emergency food, waste bags, a toy, and a local dog park guide. Dog beds and towels are available by request too. Other great amenities at the Best Western Plus Sands Hotel include two restaurants, as well as a fitness room with sauna.

Known as Vancouver’s “Castle in the City,” this Fairmont hotel will treat you and your pooch like royalty. Fairmont properties in Canada are well-known for having canine ambassadors that greet guests in the lobby. Ella is the ambassador at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. For $25 CAD per day, guests and their pet receive a welcome mat, dish, delicious handmade treats, a toy, and a pet activities information sheet. The same pet-friendly policy is in effect at other Fairmont hotels in Vancouver too, such as Fairmont Pacific Rim.

Hyatt has an unbeatable reputation around the world. Fortunately, that has extended to allowing pets in their lower floor hotel rooms (for easy outside access) at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver on Burrard Street in downtown Vancouver. Dogs must weigh less than 23 kilograms (50 pounds), but two dogs are allowed as long as their combined weight is under 34 kilograms (75 pounds). There is a $100 fee for the first six nights, and pets receive a bowl and dog bed.

The Loden Hotel loves animals. They support the SPCA through various charitable efforts and even used past rescues in their promotional images. Four-legged friends, both big and small, are welcome at The Loden Hotel. There is a $45 per pet, per stay fee. The goodies awaiting your pet at the hotel include a plush bed, bowls, homemade dog biscuits, a dog walking map, a sanitary kit, and even a copy of Modern Dog Magazine. They can also arrange dog-sitting services as well. Your dog will love the hotel’s Coal Harbour location.

Hotel Blu is an inexpensive pet-friendly hotel in Vancouver for visitors on a budget. For just $30 per stay, one pet is allowed in a guest room. At check in, pups will be given a special welcome package, which includes a treat, comfy bed, a bowl, and an information pack on city pet by-laws and pet-friendly areas. Hotel Blu’s welcome treats come from a local pet store named Bones, which is conveniently located two blocks from the hotel and stocks healthy, natural products.

OPUS Hotel

Named one of the five trendiest hotels in the world by TripAdvisor, OPUS Hotel is a stylish property with two bars/restaurants on-site. They also welcome pets of all sizes, for a one-time $30 fee. Each dog receives a bed, bowl and treat, and staff members are even periodically available to take them for a break free of charge. The hotel’s Yaletown location is quite handy as well. The off-leash Coopers Park is only two blocks away, and Barking Babies is around the corner, so your pet can pick up a souvenir too.

The hotel encourages dogs to be under 23 kilograms (50 pounds). Their pet-friendly rooms include tiled floors for easy cleanup and a balcony for pets who prefer the outdoors.
