Its bars offer open stages and microphones to any and all, allowing them to show off their talent to the captive audiences who come out every night. Here are some of the top places to check out for a unique experience and a taste of Tel Aviv’s great talent.

Sunday Jam at Bar Yeoshua

Located on Ben Yehuda Street and walking distance from the beach, Bar Yeoshua always offers a family party on Sunday nights. Bar Giyora

Bar Giyora, located on Giyora Street near Dizengoff centre, is a multi-level venue for all nights of the week. Their first level is bistro style, where they put on a great spread catering for all meals of the day, and moving towards the back, they have a bar with cocktails, assorted beers on tap and a selection of wine. The main draw, however, for local Tel Avivian’s, is the lounge downstairs with a bar and an open stage serving as a live music performance space. During the week, they host different performers and on Mondays, they open the stage to anyone looking to début their talents. Bar Giyora attracts patrons of all ages, but the audience in the lounge is predominantly young, vibrant and enthusiastic. The music featured at the open stage evenings ranges from blues, to jazz, classical to pop – exhibiting the many different tastes of the Tel Aviv residents and visitors. Bar Giyora offers a great evening out for those looking to enjoy a relaxed dinner, accompanied by new tunes and perfectly concocted drinks. Located right on the beach, Jessica Restro Bar is a great place for a nice lunch after a day in Tel Aviv and comes into its own on those warm summer nights. Both first timers and frequent customers rave about the beautiful sunset often witnessed from their tables. Jessica’s is a one-stop wonder, offering music, dancing, good service and tasty food. Every Friday night, ‘Fiesta Latina’ calls all the dancers to the stage, as well as featuring local artists on Saturday nights,and even stand up comedians on Sundays. Jessica Restro Bar is a melting pot for all the excitement available in Tel Aviv, brought together in one trendy venue. Mike’s Place

Mike’s place, located on the boardwalk, is an American style bar with live music, sports bar and restaurant. Every night, they offer live music featuring new and seasoned musicians of Tel Aviv, and Monday nights are open to all. The staff and atmosphere make it feel like a home away from home for its frequent international customers. Offering cuisine and drinks for any pallet – fish and chips, hamburgers,and international beers on tap – at Mike’s Place there is something for everyone. Monday is the night that no one wants miss – everyone is invited to enjoy and participate in an exciting evening’s entertainment. The rocking music and comfortable atmosphere is the reason for the glut of customers experienced weekly.
