Burma is so 2016.

Rarely does a single accord return one of the world’s greatest civilisations to centre stage, but with relaxed security and an already booming tourist industry, Iran is set to be one of 2017’s most popular travel destinations (regardless of whatever Mr. Trump does). With a staggering 19 UNESCO-listed World Heritage Sites under its belt and a history of empire stretching all the way back to 1000 B.C, Iran, before the revolution of 1979, was one of the hottest destinations on the globe.

Luckily, since a deal was struck with the UN Security Council, travellers from all over the world are rediscovering the vibrance, mystery and intrigue of this fascinating country: the mosques of Kashan, the otherworldly gardens of Shiraz, the great Bazaar of Isfahan and so many more.

The landscapes are epic, the history and culture fascinating and the people OVERWHELMINGLY welcoming. And just think of the traveller brownie points you’ll wrack up at social parties!
