Planning a night out in Manchester? You’re in luck, the city has one of the most exciting and diverse nightlife scenes in the UK. Whether you’re looking for an indie disco, a glamorous VIP club or a hip warehouse party, you’re sure to find it in the city centre. Every weekend you’ll find regular club nights and touring DJs frequenting the cities hottest clubs, while during the week student nights reign supreme. Here are six of the very best nightclubs in the city, guaranteed to be busy every weekend.

Lola Lo

There are plenty of Tiki bars scattered across Manchester, but if you’re after a glamorous drinking den, make Lola Lo your first port of call. By far the most exciting venue on Deansgate Locks, this three-floor club is always bustling with party goers who are dressed to impress. Cocktail lovers won’t be disappointed with their exotic array of tropical themed drinks and anyone looking to dance will feel at home on their dance floor.

Gorilla

Bar, Restaurant, Pub Grub, British

Located under the arches below Oxford Road train station, this popular club, venue and bar is many a local’s favourite spot. The bar offers up a delicious food menu alongside an extensive cocktail list, while the 700 capacity club space hosts visiting bands and DJs as well alongside popular regular nights. The music is eclectic, ranging from funk to hiphop and indie beats, attracting a young and hip crowd.

Antwerp Mansion

It may look like a derelict house on the outside, but this Rusholme party den is one of the most exciting venues in the city. Imagine a cross between a house party and a warehouse rave, and you won’t even come close to what you’ll find inside this Victorian mansion. This isn’t the place for dressing to impress, but it is one of the best spots in the city for catching the best local DJs and enjoying an all-night party.

Albert Hall

Owned by the same people behind Gorilla, Albert Hall is one of the most exciting venues in the city centre. Housed within a Grade II listed Wesleyan chapel, the huge music hall features a large balcony and incredible original features that initially distract you from the pounding beats. Check out their calendar to keep up to date with touring bands and DJs.

The Warehouse Project

Now running for over 12 years, the Warehouse Project is one of the most exciting clubbing experiences in the entire country. Every autumn, clubbers flock from miles around to experience one of the best nights out they’ll ever have. Although the project has previously relocated to other spaces around the city, it’s now back at Store Street underneath Piccadilly station, offering a clubbing experience like no other.

Hidden

If you love the Warehouse Project but are after some place a little more discreet, head to Hidden to dance the night away. Located off the beaten track, this is where you’ll find the hippest crowd in the city, nodding their heads to the pounding beats that resonate through the venue. The warehouse space provides a labyrinth of alleyways to explore with exhibition spaces situated alongside the dance floors.
