Tordown is on the outskirts of Glastonbury in a particularly relaxing location.

Located in Shapwick (about 7mi or 11km from Glastonbury), you’ll find this Tudor manor house down a half-mile winding lane surrounded by large grounds. The peaceful location has 11 en-suite rooms with beautiful countryside views and tasteful decor; you can enjoy four-poster beds, an open Tudor fireplace and the rolling grounds where you can play croquet on the lawn or walk among the cedar trees.
At the opposite end of the spectrum from Shapwick House is Little Upton Cider Barn, about 11mi (18km) south of Glastonbury. This tiny cottage has one bedroom and can sleep up to two guests, making the cosy converted barn great for a romantic retreat or a peaceful escape. Guests can visit the three local pubs and watch the wildlife on a walk along the Somerset Levels, and then come back to the barn to enjoy the bubbling warm water in the hot tub or swim in the on-site pool.
