1. The Warehouse Café
Restaurant, Cafe, British
A firm staple of Birmingham’s vegetarian food scene is The Warehouse Café, situated on Allison Street in Digbeth. The award-winning restaurant is fully licensed and serves a range of vegan beers and wines on top of the mouth-watering dishes they proudly dish up, including gluten free and vegan options. Tip: try the halloumi ‘fish’ and chips!
2. Café Soya
Restaurant, Vietnamese
Notably different from a lot of vegetarian offerings, Café Soya serve up some of the best Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine to be found in Birmingham city centre. Café Soya is a proud family business with the aim of serving healthy vegetarian food inspired by the soya bean and is great value for money, too.
3. 1847
Restaurant, British, Vegetarian
Fine cuisine? Check. Great reputation? Check. Central location? Check. 1847‘s cosy Birmingham branch is located in the stunning Great Western Arcade and offers a number of seasonal, British-inspired menus with a vegetarian twist. You’ll be hard pressed to find a better vegetarian offering in such a central location.
5. Natural Healthy Foods
Restaurant, British
6. Shambhala Village
Restaurant, Indian
Quite possibly the most versatile of the lot, Shambhala Village offers cuisine across a number of different cultures, ranging from Indian and Mexican to Italian. All items on their menu are vegetarian, so if you’re one of those ‘indecisive types’ when it comes to eating out, this a restaurant you’ll want to visit pretty sharpish. Shambhala Village is situated on the Soho Road in Handsworth; one of the most multicultural areas of Birmingham.

We are proud that, for more than a decade, millions like you have trusted our award-winning recommendations by people who deeply understand what makes certain places and communities so special.
Increasingly we believe the world needs more meaningful, real-life connections between curious travellers keen to explore the world in a more responsible way.
