There are many power lists in today’s media landscape which celebrate young, emerging talent – far fewer celebrate individuals who have enjoyed long, established careers and continue to make dynamic contributions to the cultural landscape.
Step forward Culture Trip’s ’60 over 60′: a celebration of the innovative movers and shakers aged over 60 who are working across the globe to help shape our future for the better. In a year when the generational gap widened even further, we want to showcase inspirational figures to Culture Trip’s millennial readers and celebrate the careers of these creative mavericks.

From artists such as Cuba’s 101-year-old Carmen Herrera to authors like Syria’s Adunis – you might not find these guys going viral on social media (though some of our nominees certainly have) but this is all the more reason to give the following creatives their much deserved moment in the spotlight.
