Nybrogatan 38’s menu is inspired by towns in southern Sweden, and the Swedish interior design with soft background music creates a cozy ambience. The meatballs here are a mouthwatering delicacy, with a strong beef flavour, and served with traditional Swedish side dishes such as mashed potatoes, blackcurrant, lingonberries and cream sauce. The prawn salad made from locally sourced prawns is also a great option.

3. Elverket

Brasserie, French

Located near the Karlaplan T-bana station, Elverket is a brasserie with an open kitchen. Their food is highly recommended by the locals, with meatballs being the most popular choice. This brasserie is busy all day so it’s best to come early and grab yourself a seat.

Boqueria Torget offers authentic Spanish tapas, served on high bar tables for an authentic Spanish feel. A brunch buffet is available on Saturday and Sunday from 12-4pm with cold and hot dishes, from cured meats to herring, poached egg and meatballs.

Situated in the center of Östermalmstorg, Sannas is a stylish and trendy restaurant with brass and marble decoration. The menu constantly changes here, and is adjusted according to the seasons. The restaurant prepares food from scratch, with natural ingredients and a lot of creativity. Brunch is served from 12-3pm on Saturday. In summer there is outdoor seating too.

Specreiet is the sister restaurant of Restaurant Gastrologick, one of the most famous restaurants in Stockholm. The setting of the restaurant stays true to its Scandinavian roots, using minimal decorations with wooden tables and copper lamps. The restaurant is filled with a Nordic romantic ambience. Speceriet emphasizes the importance of using fresh ingredients and taking risk in coming up with new dishes.
