Stockholm's Best Thrift Stores
Thrift shops in Stockholm are bursting with unique finds, perfect for the savvy shopper who wants to find something special at a reasonable price. While Swedes might be known for their clean, sleek sense of fashion and boast some of the best designers around, they also like to put their own stamp on their look. Here are the best thrift shops in Stockholm.
Lisa Larsson
Store
Lisa Larsson is the Queen of Stockholm thrift store shopping. Founded in 1980 in Stockholm’s trendy Södermalm district, Lisa Larsson Secondhand is where Stockholm’s top stylists head when looking for that special something. The shop carries clothing, shoes, and accessories from the mid-20th century on.
59 Vintage Store, Stockholm
Store
Stocking clothing that ranges from the 1920s to the 1950s, 59 Vintage Store primarily focusing on dresses, glitter, and glamour. Among the designers you’ll find here: Hermès, Yves Saint Laurent, Dior, Chanel, Gucci, Pucci, and Katja of Sweden. ‘Regular’ clothing for both adults and children can also be found here.
Uppåt Väggarna Second Hand
Shop, Store
Stocking nothing later than the 1980s, Uppåt Väggarna is arguably Stockholm’s favourite ‘secret’ thrift shop. It’s not quite as well-known as Lisa Larsson so the stock is not as picked over. Even better is the incredible staff, who are known to be very hands-on in their service.
Judits Secondhand
Shop
Judits Secondhand carries a highly edited range of vintage finds mixed with more recent designer cast-offs, including a direct line to fave Swedish designer Filippa K, exclusively for women. It has two sister stores with a wider range of secondhand but this is the original and the best.
Old Touch
Shop
Specialising in early 20th century clothing, Old Touch carries items that date through to the 1960s for both men and women. In addition to the clothes, the hat and shoe selection is particularly good, and a cross section of items are available for hire.
