There’s no denying that locals in Sochi love their food. While the locals always have some time to visit an Italian or typical Russian restaurant for a tasty course, every so often they like gastronomic pub sessions infused with delicatessen or sophisticated eats from all over the world. Undoubtedly a good gastropub, with an impressive wine list and good menu, is always worth visiting. Check our pick of Sochi’s best gastropubs and, believe us, there are always good options.

1. Ribus - Real Fish Market

Bar, Restaurant, Seafood, Pub Grub, Russian

Ribus – Real Fishmarket is the one and only absolute water’s-edge seafood and oysters gastropub in central Sochi. A visit to this place will astonish all of your senses, especially the taste buds. If you’re in need of fresher oysters and prawns along with prosecco and local snacks, you’ll need to go here.

2. The Prince of Wales

Pub, British, Pub Grub, Seafood

Visit this traditional English pub in the city centre. The pub shows football matches as well other sports and has a wide selection of local and imported beers on draught and an even wider range of imported and artisan bottled beer. Plus, it has a vast selection of cocktails available for non-beer drinkers and even alcohol-free options. The menu is mainly made up of the deep-fried food affectionately known as ‘pub-grub’, however there are many good options for seafood- and champagne-addicted visitors.

3. Voda

Restaurant, Russian, Italian, Japanese, European

If you find yourself hungry yet need of a luxury place to spend your time in Sochi, head toward Voda. The venue was founded a couple of years ago and offers great meal deals and a fantastic sea view. The menu also offers the best fish and meat options, the best oysters and best king size prawns in the area. A vast wine list with options from different continents, plus Great starters, parma prosciutto and much more are also all on offer here.

5. O'Sullivan's Pub

Pub, Irish, European

O’Sullivan’s is well-known venue in Sochi mainly for its exceptional mussels choice and a vast beer cart. It’s that kind of a gastropub where the wine list runs from red to white, and the food menu is changing according the season. A unique Irish venue of its kind in this area. It is perfect for those who are interested in going out with a large group of friends to dine and have a great deal of fun.
