Zamość is one of the most stunning cities in Poland. It is located in the south-east corner of the country and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its fascinating old town square. There are plenty of awesome activities in and around the city, so if you fancy staying a night or two here, this is the pick of the city’s best hotels and hostels to rest your head.
Hotel Renesans has a total of 70 beds, separated into three types of rooms: single, double and luxury double. All rooms are equipped with toiletries, towels and a bath tub. Double rooms have an additional pull-out bed, which is perfect for families. Each room has a telephone, a television and a cable internet connection. There is free WiFi throughout the hotel and the summer patio zone. Some of the rooms have an additional fridge. The location is superb, just a two minute walk from Zamość’s UNESCO-listed main square.
A stylish and exquisite option in Zamość is the Hotel Zamojski. This place is one of the largest and most well-known hotels in the region. With its location right in the heart of Zamość’s old town, you really can’t go wrong here. All the main attractions are within walking distance, but if you prefer to stay and relax, there is a full spa complex at the venue. Hotel Zamojski has 54 rooms of all varieties, including family rooms and rooms with a city view. There is a popular restaurant and bar inside the hotel and there is WiFi throughout. Every room has tea and coffee-making facilities, but there is a surcharge for the buffet breakfast.
The Carskie Koszary Hotel is a large modern venue located on a quiet street, not far from the city centre. Its 22 rooms are elegantly decorated and they all have an en suite bathroom, satellite TV, a telephone and WiFi. You’ll also find the recommended ‘Carskie Koszary’ Restaurant, which is not only for hotel guests, but is open to the public. The restaurant is often used for swanky dinner parties, banquets and wedding receptions. Top chefs serve up Polish specialties with a mix of Ukrainian and Russian options too. There is also a tranquil outdoor garden for enjoying the warmer months. If you like to travel with your furry friend(s), be aware that animals are not allowed at the Carskie Koszary Hotel in the interests of other guests.
The luxurious Artis Hotel and Spa is located on the edge of Zamość in the Sitaniec district. This is a good option if you want luxury, a peaceful place to relax and aren’t in need of a place to stay in the town centre. All rooms are spacious, clean and well-maintained. The venue is suitable for families, couples and travellers on business. Breakfast is included at the Artis Hotel & Spa, which also has free WiFi throughout and ample parking. The restaurant’s menu includes a delicious range of Polish and international cuisine.
When it comes to enjoying your time in style in Zamość, look no further than the Hotel Koronny. This is the city’s prime four-star hotel. The interior is well decorated with wooden walls, colourful carpets and hanging chandeliers. The Hotel Koronny (which means Crown Hotel) is located a short distance from Old Town in Zamość in a historic building, which used to house the Zamość military barracks during communist times. This mix of modernity and tradition offers a great contrast for visitors. With a cosy bar, huge restaurant and lobby area, this is a super venue for enjoying some respite from work, whether you choose to relax in your room or not. All rooms are suitably equipped with WiFi, tea and coffee, clean bathrooms and a mini-bar. For those wanting a bit more luxury, book the Apartament Prasowy.
For the budget backpacker or sociable tourist, Hostel Zamość is the ideal option. This is a typical backpacker hostel offering cheap beds, tourist information and a chance to meet fellow travellers. It is also close to the main train station, so it’s a very handy accommodation for those arriving by rail for just a night or two in the city. From here, you have a short 10 minute walk to the old town neighbourhood. Shared and private rooms are available and group bookings are also accepted in one of the best value options in the city.
Catering to the budget hotel market, Hotel Junior is a cosy and simple place to stay while saving some cash. This hotel has a range of rooms and suites, as well as a restaurant. You can socialise and meet new people here in the fully licensed bar and game room, which has a pool table. Rooms are basic and clean, and there is free parking and free WiFi in every room, so this really is the best bargain option in the town. The only real downside is that it’s not so close to the UNESCO-listed old town, but it’s only a short bus ride away or a pleasant stroll along Marszałka Józefa Piłsudskiego Street.
