Hildr Gastro Bar

To give you the freshest taste, the chef chooses ingredients according to the seasonality of farm produce. This carries over into the cocktails, made exclusively for their guests, which draw upon the mixologist’s creativity and innovation. Carefully selected wines and beers are also available.

Rorbua Pub

Established in 1974, Rorbua Pub is still successful 40 years later. The interior decoration should be very familiar to Norwegians, as the pub is the home of one of the country’s most popular television shows Du skal høre mye (You’ve Heard A Lot). Helpful staff members will present you with a wide variety of local beers and wines, and it seems a perfect place to have a relaxing drink with a pizza. With only a few options available, the pizzas served here have been carefully designed to suit all appetites.

Blå Rock Cafe

‘Blå‘ is ‘blue’ in Norwegian, and, true to its name, this bar’s exterior is decorated with blue paint. Rock music is the dominant music genre here. Blå Rock Cafe stands out for being the only bar that plays rock music in Tromsø, which explains why so many young people gather to spend evenings here. It helps that some of the music is live as well. To keep you refreshed, there are around 50 brands of beers. A happy hour selection is available every Monday.

Bardus

Bardus literally means ‘suddenly’ in Dutch. This bar is a bar with an interesting history. The building was originally used as a bakery in 1868, then it was turned into Tromsø’s first cinema. Now it is a modern bar, encompassing the Nordic influences and the rich history behind it. The homely decoration creates an atmosphere where you can easily enjoy a glass of beer. For those who want to get a taste of local flavors, Bardus has a great selection of local beers ready to impress you.

Ølhallen Brewpub

Ølhallen Brewpub (‘ølhallen‘ means ‘the beer hall’ in Norwegian) was opened in 1928. Their success continued, and now it’s one of the most popular destinations to taste local beers. It provides up to 67 local beers, sourced from various Norwegian microbreweries, including the most famous Macks beers.

With dark grey as the theme color of decoration, the bar has successfully created a cozy ambience for a relaxing gathering. Many guests have applauded the burgers served in the bar for being the best in Tromsø. The ‘Full Fettling’ burger seems to be the most popular choice, and the burgers are well complemented by a wide variety of beers and wines.
