There’s no shortage of the good life in the affluent area of Charlottenburg, Berlin. Home to the chic shopping street of Kurfürstendamm and The Charlottenburg Palace, the area is also great for tasty breakfast and brunch spots. We list ten of the best.

Brot und Butter‘s unusual interior is that of a grocery store with seating arrangements, rather like an upscale delicatessen. It’s a relaxed place for a morning meal, serving top-notch light bites include a fabulous quiche. The main plus of the menu though is the staples which include great fresh coffee, fresh-baked artisan bread, high-end confiture and delicious cheeses.

This cozy Charlottenburg café pairs high ceilings and a seasonal menu with French influences. Manstein‘s interior is full of beautiful cakes on display and ceiling-high shelves line the walls. The outdoor seating is perfect in the summer as Lietzensee park is a stone’s throw away. This casual café is more upscale than most, so expect prices to match.

French and Mediterranean influences are infused into the dishes at Eiffel, on Kurfürstendamm. Continental breakfasts range from the Parma ham, Brie and Baguette to cured salmon with potato pancakes. Carefully crafted elegant food comes at a cost though, especially at this location, but it’s worth it for a special treat. The interior is sleek and sophisticated, with starched white tablecloths, and the ample outdoor seating is perfect spot for people-watching over coffee.

Die Stulle

The translation of Die Stulle is ‘the sandwich’, and that’s exactly what this fine establishment is the master of. It’s creative interpretations include an amazing three-tiered meat and cheese deconstructed sandwich. Plus the interior design, a juxtaposition of light and dark woods, and ample outdoor seating are a delight.

Sets might just have one of the most alluring interiors in the area, with its high ceilings, soft pastels, high top wooden tables and cleverly crafted light fixtures in elegant recesses. It also has huge windows that blur the line between inside and out. The food is equally as instagram worthy, driven by the belief that good food should be kept simple. Breakfast is served all day too, so there’s plenty of time to try the myriad dishes on offer.
