For thirty years, les UX (for Urban eXperiment) has been engaging in anonymous acts of “cultural hacktivism” by secretly restoring neglected and hidden corners of Paris.
The underground organization’s most sensational achievement involved setting up workshops beneath Pantheon, the monument to the country’s intellectual greats, and repairing the 19th century clock within.
It captured this project on a video that offers phenomenal insights into cultural preservation at its rawest. Check out the footage with Pantheon: a user’s guide from Lazar Kunstmann, and learn more about les UX here.
