The resort town of Biarritz – on the coast of southwestern France – has been a popular holiday destination since the 19th-century, when it was favoured by European royal families. Today, it’s one of the best surf destinations in Europe – but you don’t need a royal budget to enjoy the sandy beaches and world-class waves. From romantic escapes for couples to family-friendly surf hostels with free board hire, this is our pick of the best hostels and cheap hotels in Biarritz – bookable on Culture Trip.
