Are You Brave Enough for This Cliff-side Film Screening?

If you thought outdoor screenings were just for Londoners, then think again. 4GEE Community Cinema Club is bringing films to the rest of the country, and in spectacular fashion too.

EE, in partnership with BAFTA, is launching The Community Cinema Club to bring the magic of outdoor cinema to rural communities across the UK. As the amazing video above shows, the first screening took place in Cumbria at 500 metres above sea level as a group of climbers braved the elements to watch a movie powered by EE’s 4G service.

The programme will see newly 4G-connected communities in Wales, Scotland and England given the chance to get all the equipment to host their own screening events. Cliff-side locations are purely optional…

Lake District Screening

EE’s head of marketing Max Taylor said: “This year we celebrated the 20th year of our long-standing partnership with BAFTA and announced that our 4G coverage now stretches to more than 80 per cent of the UK geography.

“The 4GEE Community Cinema Club is the perfect way to demonstrate the power of our 4G connectivity through film. Our superfast 4G network lets our customers stream the entertainment they love, wherever they are – even if that happens to be camping on a cliff face in the Lake District!”

Five lucky applicants will win the chance for their community to take part.

Film fans can apply to have the 4GEE Community Cinema Club pay their local community a visit this September by entering at www.ee.co.uk/cinema-club
