From London-based editors to buyers to local bloggers, here are some of the best-dressed attendees and the looks they wore to make an impression during Copenhagen Fashion Week (CPHFW) spring/summer 2019.
Slouchy tailoring
CPHFW regulars Katarina Petrovic (left) – founder of online fashion publication A Style Journey – and Celine Aagaard (right) – editor, consultant and Instagram influencer – are a street-style photographer’s dream. Here, they master the season’s androgynous, oversize tailoring and accessorise with both luxury and high-street finds to give seemingly similar looks some unique twists. Don’t be fooled – these outfits may appear effortless, but each detail has been carefully considered.
Printed wrap dresses
Printed tea dresses have become a spring/summer 2018 signature thanks to labels like Rixo and Ganni bucking the trend with their covetable wrap designs. It’s no wonder, then, that Copenhagen was awash with the garments when the fashion industry descended on the city. This CPHFW attendee brightens up a monochrome palette with a bold orange leather tote, adding a modern edge with soft point-toe flats and Bella Hadid-approved cat-eye sunglasses.

Accent bags
Proving that small needn’t mean subtle, Yuzefi’s boxy bag designs add a point of interest to any look. In this instance, the bag’s khaki suede body brings out the matching hue in the trouser print, while the yellow-gold chain complements the owner’s vintage-inspired jewellery without drawing focus away from the overall look. Accessories hold a lot of styling power, and this outfit composition is a case in point. Sunshine yellow
Emili Sindlev is one of Copenhagen’s best-recognised names in fashion, not only for her work as a stylist but also for her personal blog and Instagram fashion page. Havaianas seem a controversial footwear choice but, like Katarina Petrovic and Celine Aagaard, Sindlev mixes luxury and high-street accessories to strike an enduring balance and create an overall aesthetic that’s easily mimicked.
