Accommodation
Silk Path Hanoi (or similar)
Modern luxuries await in the heart of Hanoi’s historic center thanks to the effortless stylishness of Silk Path Hotel. This place offers easy access to the capital’s many sights, but also a sanctuary from the chaos of the city, where you can kick back in the Jacuzzi and sauna, get a workout done in the gym or feast on various Vietnamese and international delicacies from the hotel’s two restaurants, two bars and cafe.
Emeraude Classic Cruise, Halong Bay
Why just spend the day on Halong Bay when you can spend the night there too? This vintage cruise ship has an awful lot to offer on top of splendid views of the surrounding limestone karsts. Take a kayak out on the water, tuck into crepes on the sundeck and partake in yoga and cooking classes. As night falls, opt for nocturnal squid fishing or settle down for movie night. The choice is yours!
Eldora Hotel, Hue (or similar)
Few hotels capture Hue’s colonial elegance quite like the Eldora, found within walking distance of the Imperial City. Touches of luxury can be found all over the hotel, but it’s the indoor pool – with spectacular views over the city – that best symbolizes the hotel’s old-school grandeur. That said, the Skyline Bar runs it close on the style front.
Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort and Spa, Hoi An (or similar)
You can’t visit Hoi An without taking advantage of its enviable stretch of coastline, which is why we’ll be staying at this dreamy spa resort along the sun-kissed shores of Cua Dai Beach. Enjoy access to the private beach, go for a dip in the outdoor pool or get sporty at the onsite tennis court and football pitch. In the evening, kick back at one of several bars and restaurants, or even the hotel’s Magic Theater.
Victoria Can Tho Resort, Can Tho (or similar)
This striking resort, with its striking Indochine architectural style, may be in the heart of Can Tho, but it feels like a countryside retreat. Perhaps it's the luscious greenery that envelopes the resort, or maybe it’s the two private pools and spectacular riverside views. Either way, your stay at the Victoria Can Tho is likely to be filled with relaxation and culinary delights.
Grand Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City (or similar)
Grand by name, grand by nature. The French-style architecture of this Ho Chi Minh institution is looking as fresh as ever, especially since the historic hotel’s restoration in 2012. From the elegantly designed rooms to the outdoor swimming pool and top class spa, as well as the onsite hair salon – yep, we’re not joking – this place is designed with the sole purpose of offering you a tranquil haven from within the heart of Vietnam’s most populous city.
