With the extremely high temperatures during Dubai’s summer, people don’t often think of the city as a place for outdoor activities. However, Dubai has an array of parks where people can visit, enjoy a picnic and see plenty of greenery – in the middle of the desert. During winter, spring and fall, the city’s temperature is really pleasant and a day at the park is the ideal way to unwind and see a whole other side of Dubai.

This is undoubtedly Dubai’s most popular park. It has been around for over a decade and is a favorite for families to come and enjoy the day, whether with a picnic or making use of the park’s barbecue facilities. Safa Park has just recently gotten a make over, as the recently inaugurated Dubai Canal runs through the middle of the park, bringing a unique waterfront to the already beautiful spot. The entrance fee to Safa Park is less then $1.

Umm Suqeim Park

Park

Umm Suqeim Park is privileged with a singular view of the Burj Al Arab. However small, Umm Suqeim Park is one of the city’s fitness hotspots, where people can workout surrounded by both trees and the beach. The park is located right opposite one of Dubai’s most popular public beaches, overlooking the famous hotel and providing fitness fanatics with a great space to workout, run bootcamps and even parkour classes.

This massive park has increasingly grown in popularity by holding some of the most popular events in town. From the Dubai Flea Market to the Ripe Market. These regular events bring plenty of attention to the park, but that’s not all that it has to offer. Zabeel Park has a large lake offering boat rides, as well as several other attractions such as play ares and even an amphitheater. This is the ideal park to come with children, as there are plenty of options to keep them entertained and ensure fun for the whole family.

Barsha Pond Park

Barsha Pond Park takes its name from the large pond it was built around. This is the perfect park to relax, as it’s not as crowded as the others in town. Barsha Pond Park offers visitors a great experience, allowing fitness lovers to break a sweat by either jogging or cycling, as well as a relaxing lake by which people can enjoy a relaxing day out. The park also holds a few events, much like Zabeel Park, this is one of the regular spots for Dubai’s popular Ripe Market.

This park is special because its located in the heart of Downtown Dubai, surrounded by skyscrapers and right next to the largest mall in the world. Burj Park received its name because it is located right next to the Burj Khalifa, with an unique view of the tallest building in the world as well as the Dubai Fountains and the Dubai Opera. Also known as Burj Khalifa Island Park, the park is a small island in the middle of the Burj Lake and was initially designed to hold events such as weddings and other big jamborees. The park has previously held some of the most popular gastronomy events in town such as Truckers DXB and Eat The World DXB.
