Dubai is an international hub with many visitors stopping over for connecting flights or for work purposes. Therefore, it’s necessary to find a good space to operate from, with fast, free Wi-Fi in particular. The Emirate is full of inspirational cafes, which offer everything the worker needs to get plenty done during their stay.

1. A4 Space

Building, Concert Hall

This co-working space located in Alserkal Avenue is great for those looking to solely focus on work all day. A4 Space has a mezzanine floor and its only purpose is for people to bring their laptops and work from there. Downstairs, there’s a small cafe called Appetite, which serves healthy to-go salads and wraps, as well as fantastic coffee. The sitting in A4 Space is a little unusual, in addition to a traditional counter with plenty of charging outlets for laptops, people can work laying down on couches. Even better, for those looking for a break, the space has a variety of books and board games; because everyone needs some fun, even when they work.

2. Cafe Rider

Cafe, Vegetarian, Vegan, Coffee, Tea , Street Food

Located in Al Quoz, this cafe is known for its coffee, with a large variety of beans and ways of preparing the perfect cup of joe. However, what makes Cafe Rider truly unique is that it’s also a motorcycle workshop. The cafe has a cool biker vibe and its mezzanine floor consists of large tables to where people can bring their laptops, sip coffee and spend their day getting work done. This is ideal for those working with their team, as the tables allow plenty of space and a good environment for discussions.

3. The Irish Village

Although The Irish Village is better known for their bars and good beer, this is also a great space to get work done. Here, workaholics can sit outdoors in front of the bar’s pond and be dazzled by the presence of ducks and even a swan! This is also the ideal place to unwind and order a pint of beer while answering e-mails and getting through the day’s tasks. Irish Village is located a mere 10 minutes from the airport, so visitors who are just stopping in Dubai for a day (or even a few hours) can work from here.

4. Clinton Street Baking Company

Bakery, Restaurant, American, Vegan, Vegetarian, Street Food

This New Yorker bakery has two locations in Dubai, one in Downtown Dubai and the second in City Walk. Other than the delicious menu – including tasty burgers and breakfast classics like eggs Benedict and pancakes – Clinton Street Baking Company bakery provides the perfect working space. Both locations are quiet and convenient, hence they allow diners to focus in order to get the job done. This is the ideal place for those who enjoy snacking while they work.

5. The Gourmet Deli Co.

Cafe, Deli, Food Truck, Healthy, Fast Food, Vegan, Vegetarian, Street Food

This gourmet deli is a favorite among Media City workers, as it is a lovely place for a quick escape from the office, work meetings or to simply bring a laptop and knuckle down. 1762 has great Wi-Fi, as well as good coffee, which composes all the ingredients visitors require to get work done swiftly. The cafe’s second location in Jumeirah Lake Towers even has its own double-decker food truck where people can work from the top. Those who stress eat as they work should definitely try 1762’s carrot cake!

6. The Daily - Rove Hotel

This neighborhood hub is the ideal place to work while enjoying a positive environment and good eats. Located at the Rove Hotel, The Daily offers free Wi-Fi and lots of great vibes. With a menu that varies from healthy choices to pizza, this is a place for every taste pallet. Another great thing about The Daily is having the option to sit both indoors and outdoors, making the restaurant appropriate for both Dubai’s boiling summers and pleasant winters. The long open hours are also a plus, making this a great space for both early birds and night owls to work from.

7. Friends’ Avenue Cafe

Cafe, Restaurant, Coffee, Tea , European, Vegetarian, Street Food

Considering the amount of offices and businesses in Jumeirah Lake Towers, it’s essential for the neighborhood to have good places for people to work from. Friends’ Avenue Cafe is one of the most popular cafes in the area, with “really awesome coffee” as stated on their website plus a fantastic working environment. This Manhattan inspired cafe is a great space to mingle with residents who need creative surroundings and the option of eating mouth-watering healthy foods. They have also just opened their second location in Motor City.
