The perfect bay for ferry-hopping, a Byzantine bazaar and ancient temples can be found in the city of Izmir. Ride along the promenade on an electric scooter, sit at the side of a cobbled street with a crumbly Boyos pastry and tour one of the ancient attractions on your doorstep – including two of Turkey’s Unesco sites and the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
