Where To Buy Designer Clothes In Istanbul

Feride Yalav-Heckeroth

If you’re looking for the big international fashion houses like Prada, Gucci, or Louis Vuitton, then Istanbul’s Nişantaşı neighborhood as well as the İstinye Park and Zorlu Center shopping malls should be first on your list. However, for the cooler, younger, and more independent designers, Istanbul has an abundance of boutiques that have racks filled with season appropriate goodies you’ll want to take home.

1. Atelier 55

Store

Serdar-ı Ekrem in Galata is one of Istanbul’s coolest streets, complete with cobblestones and Neo-classical buildings. At the very end you’ll happen upon Atelier 55, quite the sophisticated boutique with a constantly updated collection from local and international clothing and accessory designers. You’ll be able to find names such as Bora Aksu and Ümit Benan as well as Charlotte Olympia, R&Y Augousti, and the store’s own designs under the name Atelier 55.

2. Midnight Express

Midnight Express

Established by an architect and fashion designer, Midnight Express always has some of the best men and women’s collections and accessories from Turkish and international designers. A showroom that has helped many up-and-coming names become very established, Midnight Express features local designs such as the gorgeous bags of Mehry Mu, the urban chic collections of Burçe Bekrek, bohemian getups by American Vintage, and Yazbukey’s overtly colorful outspoken jewelry (to name a few).

3. V2K Designers

Turkey’s first fashion brand, Vakko, opened a separate boutique under the name V2K Designers as a multi-brand showroom. Here you’ll be able to find some of the world’s most creative designers from Alexander Wang to Peter Som, as well the best Turkish designers such as Hussein Chalayan. There’s also quite the covetable shoe collection as well as bags and accessories so make sure to pay attention to every corner of this particular space.

4. Beymen Blender

Store

From Acne Studios to Zadig & Voltaire, Istanbul’s most popular department store, Beymen, always has some of the best items from international designer collections. We happen to be particularly found of Beymen Blender (found downstairs), whose items focus on a more urban and younger aesthetic. From gorgeous swimwear to ready to wear to handbags and shoes, Blender is a haven for the fashionably aware.

5. Shopi Go

Shop, Store

All the cool Istanbul kids definitely pop by Shopi Go often to check out what’s hanging on the racks. With a huge range of designers including Marc Jacobs, Y-3, Marni, Zac Posen, Iro, and Carven (among many others) there’s a carefully created urban aesthetic present in every item as well as the store’s interior. Make sure to also check out the many cool accessories that range from home décor to holier than thou earphones. PS: Shopi Go also has an online store with excellent sales.

6. Acquaverde

Acquaverde

If you’ve got a laid back, boho-chic style and are looking for some new and worthy wardrobe additions, Acquaverde should have you covered. This cool Galata boutique with its minimal interior has comfy t-shirts, sneakers, dresses, and accessories from designers like American Vintage, Majestic Fiatures, and Otto d’Ame just to name a few.
