1. Visit Ancient Phaselis

Ruins

Located near the town of Tekirova, within the Kemer district, the ancient Greek and Roman city of Phaselis was established around 700 BC by the Rhodians. An important harbor city, the ruins of Phaselis stand out amongst the lush pine trees.

2. Go diving at the Paris Shipwreck

About half a kilometer away from the Kemer Marina, a sunken French cargo ship lies around 25 meters (82 feet) underwater and is a perfect place to do some very exciting diving. Having submerged in World War II and believed to have been built around 1896, the shipwreck is a pretty amazing highlight for experienced divers.

For those active vacationers, the Beydağları National Park is an excellent place to go hiking over an area that stretches around 132.92 square miles. Other activities in the park include mountain climbing, sea sports, camping, and paragliding.

Check out the caves

Apart from spending lots of time at one of the many gorgeous beaches, make sure to explore the other natural highlight—caves. Kemer’s most famous cave is Beldibi, which is also a Paleolithic/Mesolithic site due to the rock engravings found in its interior.

Take a boat tour

Taking a boat tour along the coast of Kemer is also an essential experience not only because of the amazing view but also to discover coves and beaches that are only accessible via the water. Of course, making a stop anywhere just to jump into the sea or to watch the sunset is also an unforgettable experience.

Go bar-hopping

Kemer has a famous Bar Street that is always crowded in the summer with people going from one bar to the next. Spend a whole night here having a good time and making some new friends until the sun comes up.

Eat fresh fish

No vacation to the Turkish Riviera would be complete without trying out the delicious seasonal fish straight from the Mediterranean. Kemer’s best fishes include çupra (bream), levrek (sea bass), and alabalık (trout), all of which are served very simply: grilled with a slice of fresh lemon and a side of salad.
