This Company Will Take You On A 10-Day Job Interview Around The World

We’ve never wanted to fill in a job application so bad…

There’s easily one thing all of us want from our jobs: the opportunity to travel – and a great boss of course, but we can’t have everything. To make the guy or gal at the top a little more bearable, a Scottish whisky company (no surprise there) has recently announced that it will be taking a few lucky candidates on a 10-day tour of the world. Why? Because it’s part of the job interview.

OK, you’ve literally just called all your friends to tell them you want to apply. We all did, so we’re not judging you one bit. The company you might be joining goes by the name of Grant’s Whisky, a stellar brand that’s been providing Scotland and the rest of the globe with wee drams of Scotch since 1887.

They basically need a new global brand ambassador, and to find out if their top three (yes, there’s only three spots available so you’d better upgrade your LinkedIn to Premium to wipe out the rest of the competition) are up to scratch, they’re forking out an all-expenses paid trip to countries ‘ranging from Colombia to Poland, India and South Africa equipped with a suitcase full of Grant’s to share with the friends they’re yet to meet.’

The lovely trip is inspired by the travels of Charles Grant Gordon, the son-in-law of the company’s founder, William Grant. Charles travelled the high seas with a suitcase full of whisky (very Scottish) aiming to introduce other countries to the hard stuff. You’re basically going to follow in his footsteps. Cool, huh?

If you want to win the job, you’ll need to be ‘resourceful, charismatic, talented and have a passion for writing, travelling and mixology. Putting these traits to the ultimate test, the final three candidates will need to use their suitcase of Grant’s as bargaining power, swapping drams for unforgettable adventures that take whisky to the world.’
