If you’re looking for places to buy creative and unusual mementos of your trip to Quebec City, there are plenty of shops, markets, and galleries located throughout the city and especially in the popular Vieux-Port district for you to explore. Here are some ideas to get you started on your souvenir shopping.

1. Marché du Vieux-Port

Market

Marché du Vieux-Port is Quebec City’s main public market, and it’s open year-round. With plenty of vendors selling a range of produce and gourmet food items, Marché du Vieux-Port is one of the best places in the city to find some edible souvenirs. Keep an eye out for maple products, which are often being sold directly by the producers, iced ciders, and sweet preserves, as well as local artisan treats, which are all great samples of Quebecois cuisine and delicacies.

2. Métiers d'Art du Quebec

The Conseil des métiers d’art du Quebec is an organization that gathers talented local artisans who create crafts and other handmade products to sell at a yearly trade show. It also operates two shops, one of which sits in the Vieux-Port of Quebec City. Here, you can find unique souvenirs in the form of handmade jewelry, decorative objects, fashion accessories, toys, kitchen tools, and works of art by local artists.
