The city of Amman uncovers everything for its visitors. Much can be seen and done, and despite reading is becoming less of a trend nowadays, Amman still offers independent bookstores for those who still enjoy it.

Book@Café

Books@Café offers peace and quiet, as well as great coffee, and an ever-growing reading selection. B@C has two lively locations: Jabal Amman, favored by both locals and expats for its location and dynamic atmosphere, and Abdoun, the best option to get some reading, working, or studying done.

Although the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation is not strictly a bookstore, the non-profit organization/public library is still a worthy destination for book lovers. Always nice and quiet, with a vast collection of books to browse search through and borrow, aim for a long, leisurely, and serene stay. Make an early appearance at the library’s own Rumi Café and treat yourself to a cup of coffee, a light snack, and some chill music at the café.
