Napa Valley is found in California’s Wine Country, and is known for the hundreds of picturesque vineyards spread out over its hillsides. It’s also home to some excellent inns, where you can dine on local produce, enjoy local wines and relax with luxurious spa treatments. If you’re looking for the best spots to stay, these are six of the best inns in Napa Valley.

This idyllic inn and spa is hidden away on three acres (1.2ha) overlooking the Napa River, and has a long and fascinating history. The Main House dates back to the mid-1850s, when it was used as a stagecoach stop on Old Mountain Road, now the Silverado Trail, during the gold- and silver-rush era. It then became home to famed horticulturist Ira McKenzie, who left a legacy of beautiful trees on the property. In 1980, the house once again became a hotel, and today the pampering hideaway is part of the Four Sisters Inns luxury collection.

2. Harvest Inn
