One of the best places to lodge, have fun, and connect to the corporate life is East Legon. Located in the Accra Metropolitan district of the Greater Accra Region of Ghana, East Legon also allows visitors and tourists to come into contact with interesting art, objects, ideas, and history.

East Legon’s prestigious residential community aside, its proximity to the Kotoka International Airport (around a 15-minute drive) makes it a pivotal location in Accra. The town is bordered by the Tema motorway and Spintex roads to the south; Madina and Ashaley Botwe to the north; The University of Ghana and Achimota to the west; and Trasacco Estates to the east.

Art at arm’s reach

An ‘oasis in the city’, those visiting East Legon’s Nubuke Foundation can have a refreshing experience of Ghanaian culture, heritage, and art. The art institution has been operating since 2009, and it holds a reading club for kids from 3-4pm each day. The well-stocked library allows patron to enroll in their community projects, workshops, and open mics.

On the Lagos Ave link, Touch of Bronze Gallery houses pottery vessels, metal objects such as bronze and brass pieces, stone objects, and items of personal adornment such as buttons, jewelry, and clothing. On the University of Ghana’s campus, the Arts Department welcomes networking with the art circles in Accra.
