The 27 Pacific Island countries meet every four years at the Festival of Pacific Arts, an event that celebrates the region's history and cultural heritage.

A local family owned gallery that exhibits genuine Solomon Islands artifacts handmade by the locals. Located in Point Cruz, Honiara, it is a short walk away from the beach.

The museum holds an extensive collection of cultural materials such as world War II relics, photographs and local art. Facilities are also available including a Research library and community programs are regularly organised. Admission is free.

The Festival of Pacific Arts aims to combat the erosion of traditional customary practices and is the largest regional cultural gathering throughout the Pacific region.
