At Kings Chef Diner, every order comes with a side of nostalgia. This diner has been operating since 1956 and hasn’t changed much, which is great news for guests. The breakfast menu features four or five speciality items, and one of our favorites is ‘The Grump,’ a breakfast dish that looks like a sandwich made of hash browns. It’s cheesy, it’s eggy, and it’s a great way to start the day.

5. The Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club

The folks at The Breakfast Club love their 80’s movies and all of the kitsch that comes with them. All of the dishes on the menu are named after 80’s songs, movies, and personalities, and honestly, ordering your food is half of the fun. The other half comes when it’s time to eat, so be sure to try ‘The Devil Went Down To Georgia,’ a French-toast croissant stuffed with bananas and chocolate.

Bistro, American, Cocktails

Urban Steam is actually a coffee shop, but they serve such creative and delicious waffles that we couldn’t leave them off of this list. They have some sweet waffles like the Monkey Wrench, topped with bananas, nutella, and caramel, as well as some savory waffles. Try the Caprese, a basil pesto waffle on fresh spinach topped with tomatoes, mozzarella, olive tapenade, and a balsamic reduction. Also, Urban Steam does serve great coffee with beans from around the world, and what better drink is there to go with Urban Steam’s one of a kind waffle?
