Opened by University of Toronto grad Vanessa Stein, Hazel Lily is named after her two grandmothers in a pursuit to make luxury a reality for the average woman. On Yonge St., just north of Lawrence Ave W, Hazel Lily caters to a different clientele outside of the hustle and bustle of the downtown core. However, if you do live downtown it’s still worth the trek a little north. Unlike most featured on the list, Hazel Lily stocks an abundance of both affordable and more elite designer tags, from Theory to Chanel, as well as select designer vintage pieces!

One of the first consignment stores in the city, Second Nature has made the Mount Pleasant neighborhood its home for over 40 years. Founded by Ruth Silverberg, her daughter, Kary, now runs shop. The two-floor boutique holds pieces for all age groups and styles, and ships to both Canada and the U.S. Frequent visits are recommended, as the shop often hosts blowout sales (starting only at $10), and says it gets new pieces in every hour.
