Cheyenne was established in 1867 by workers on the transcontinental railroad, and it’s still a railroad town – don’t miss a visit to the Cheyenne Depot Museum and the Big Boy steam engine. On the western edge of town, Little America is a resort hotel with a large pool and a nine-hole golf course. It’s conveniently located just off the I-25 and I-80 exchange, close to the Francis E Warren Air Force Base. Decorated in warm tones, with woolly throws on beds and rodeo or nature prints on the walls, the spacious rooms overlook either the pool or golf course. Hathaway’s Restaurant specializes in solid American cooking, from pecan breakfast waffles to shrimp po’ boys and signature burgers. If you’re there on a weekend, don’t miss the famous Sunday brunch with bottomless mimosas.

Part of a cluster of hotel on the western outskirts of town, just off the I-25, this hotel in Cheyenne offers easy access to the regional airport and the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum.
