Couples from around the world are drawn to Hawaii for its undeniably romantic atmosphere and irresistible charm. Whether a rustic ranch or luxury beachfront hotel, each of the Hawaiian islands specializes in its own type of magical wedding venue. Here’s Culture Trip’s guide to sixof the best.

Oʻahu

1. Sunset Ranch

Natural Feature

Sunset Ranch sits on 30 acres (12ha) of delicately landscaped hills nestled between the mountains and glistening ocean. As guests arrive, the spectacular views of Oʻahu’s North Shore set the scene. But it’s the open-beamed wooden farmhouse that really sets this venue apart.

2. Ko Olina Resort

Resort

The sprawling Ko Olina Resort is located along O’ahu’s sunny West Shore. Four white-sand lagoons are the highlight of the area and house various hotels, beach clubs, spas and charming wedding chapels just steps away from the beach.

3. Kualoa Ranch

Couples can choose to tie the knot at four very different locations on the ranch – on a pier overlooking an ancient Hawaiian fishpond, in a garden surrounded by horses, on the white sand of Secret Beach or in the picturesque Kaʻaʻawa Valley. The guests will be stunned by the towering Koʻolau Mountains and the incredible sweeping views of the ocean.

Maui

4. Hotel Wailea

This five-star hotel offers a private lawn with sweeping views of Maui with Molokini Crater off in the distance. As the sun sets, guests dine on seasonal dishes created by local chefs in the ballroom or al fresco. A wooden treehouse hidden within the mango and avocado branches provides the perfect place for a romantic photo opportunity.

5. Haiku Mill

Building

The rustic romance of the antique sugar mill ruins is matched by touches of Hawaii’s natural beauty. The main courtyard houses hanging vines, glittering chandeliers and flowery trellises open to the elements. This enchanting location is one of a kind and is seeped in the history of the island.

Kauaʻi

6. St Regis Princeville

The St Regis Princeville wedding venue is one of the most luxurious in all of Hawaii. The ceremony takes place beachside under two towering kamani trees with the Na Molokama Makaha Mountain and various waterfalls in the distance. The sophisticated reception area opens up to a large lanai overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
