Nha Trang is a seaside resort city that draws in visitors thanks to a pristine beach, high-rise hotels and a laid-back yet luxurious vibe. Here’s our pick of the best hostels – all bookable on Culture Trip.

There’s so much to do in Nha Trang – from the huge white Buddha statue at Long son Pagoda and the National Oceanographic Museum of Vietnam to the Thap Ba hot springs and Dam Market shopping centre, it really would be a shame to use up your budget on expensive hotels. If you’re looking to save on accommodation but don’t want to sacrifice comfort, here are a selection of high-quality, low-cost hostels that will give you a great night’s sleep – if you’re not busy out partying in this lively backpackers’ resort.

How many backpacker hostels do you know of that have their very own plunge pool, just for guests? This new hostel is located in the backpackers’ hub of Nha Trang city, so if you can tear yourself away from the refreshing water, you’ll be at the beach or in the shopping market within five minutes. The hostel’s very own boat party includes all beer and food along with live music and snorkeling. Alternatively, head trekking, swimming and rock-climbing at nearby Ba Ho Waterfall.

2. Ccasa Hostel

Every room at the Ccasa Hotel comes with its own patio, plus a garden view. Chill with a book in the sun before heading down to Hon Chong beach – a sandy cove flanked by blocky, Flintstones-style boulders just a five-minute walk away. Every guest also has access to the shared lounge, the garden and – most importantly – the bar. If you find yourself partying too hard, the complimentary breakfast buffet will help you recover in the morning.

Polylu Coffee & Backpack Abode Hostel is also right around the corner from the long stretch of perfect sand at Tran Phu beach. Get your drink to go, then have a wander along the sand and a paddle in the calm shallows. Choose from one of six rooms: five are sharers, or if you’d rather keep to yourself, there’s a private room.

5. Mojzo Inn Boutique

Dam Market is Nha Trang’s most popular marketplace. Its stalls sell everything from designer knock-offs and cheap electronics to local art and delicious dried seafood. But haggling over crabs can be tiring work, so it’s lucky that Mojzo Inn is just a 10-minute walk away. This hostel provides shared and private rooms as well as a laundry service, it’s also surrounded by cool bars – so you can hit the town and show off your newly bought garments.
